AI takes center stage at BMC Committee and PAB meeting

Members of the Burnham-Moores Center Real Estate Committee and Policy Advisory Board recently attended an exclusive event that featured a panel discussion on artificial intelligence. The event was an opportunity for both groups to hear from experts on AI applications within the real estate industry. The event also featured a live presentation by USD real estate student and NAIOP University Challenge team member Sophie Hilton, '24 who presented a live demonstration of Open AI's Dall-E2, a program the team utilized in the competition this year. Hilton, who was logged into the Open AI platform during the meeting, collected ideas from the audience to create a custom rendering of a 300,000 sf mixed-use, water-front office complex with specific amenities like "dock and dine" restaurant space for boats. Policy Advisory Board member Dennis Cruzan shared, "Sophie's presentation showcased both the power of the Open AI platform, and the ingenuity of USD's real estate students - it was a powerful combination".
